|
Nepal is the Himalayan
Kingdom blessed with an amazing diversity of
geography, cultural heritage and natural beauty,
making it one of the most exciting destinations
in the world for trekking enthusiasts. The
country is narrow and almost rectangular in her
shape but very wide and circular in the culture
and nature is wedged between the Indian
subcontinent and the Tibetan plateau of China in
the north. It is only about a hundred miles wide
and 500 miles long yet within her borders lie
eight of the ten highest mountains in the world,
bestowing it with awe-inspiring vistas all along
its northern border. Swift rivers rush down from
the snow-capped peaks, flowing through the hills
and medieval towns and valleys before meandering
slowly into the steamy jungles of the Terai on
the border of India with its abundant wildlife. |
